- Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze the public sector procurement process of the ten most populous cities of the State of Santa Catarina, to present the bidding modalities used and the amount of homologated values, and their correlations, A quantitative research was carried out and data collection took place on the website of the Court of Audit of the State of Santa Catarina (TCE-SC). Excel® software and factor analysis were used for data analysis and treatment. As a result, there was a great increase in the bidding procedures approved and transmitted to the TCE-SC and that the face-to-face and electronic trading sessions are the most prominent modalities in recent years. In the factorial analysis it was verified that the bidding modalities with the greatest impact on the public purchases are related to the modality of competition, face-to-face and public procurement without bidding: the waiver of bidding and the inexigibility of bidding.
