- Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to make a quantitative assessment of the large-scale and urban contributions to the warming trends in Japan. It examines the 0.3/0.4 °C/decade temperature trend detected among stations with low population density. It also explores the significance of the warming trend anomalies observed for stations with greater population density. Furthermore it offers insights about the development of urban heat islands.
