- Abstract
The article reports that African aviation industry will need aircraft valued over 112 billion U.S. dollars in the next 20 years. It states that it is predicted that airlines in the regions of Africa and Indian Ocean will need 959 new aircraft between 2009 and 2028 to meet the demand. It mentions that Airbus director for Market Analysis Andrew Gordon says that factors that drive the demand include growing urbanisation and the need of replacing older aircraft with eco-efficient airliners.
