Khama Will "Pep Things Up".
- Abstract
The article reports on the plan of Botswana's new President Seretse Ian Khama to have an economic diversification in the country. President Khama wanted to make economic diversification as his main strategy to boost the country's economy. According to the World Bank, Botswana has been one of the countries with a fast growing economy due several reasons including exporting of diamonds, and holding the Transparency International's lowest corruption rating. However, economic growth has showed gradual decline since 2002, and was expected to continue until the medium term of 2008.
