- Abstract
The article discusses the revival of a crop by the government,that sustained many people. The 14-year civil war in Libya that ended in 2003 has led hundreds of thousands of people homeless while Liberia's agricultural and basic infrastructure in ruins, leaving almost eighty percent jobless. The US Agency for International Development (USAID) says getting cocoa farms operational could go a long way. It is suggested that USAID is already supporting cocoa projects in Liberia where industry experts estimate cocoa production could provide jobs for some 30,000 families.
