- Abstract
As it is well known, the excessive consumption of sweets and carbonated drinks, are the main causes for the increase of decay incidence among adolescents and young people in Romania. Another problem faced by adolescent and young patients is tooth discoloration due to increased coffee and tobacco consumption. Thus, in this paper we tried to highlight very succinctly the harmful effects that carbonated drinks, sweets, tobacco and coffee have over time on oral and dental health, especially among adolescents and young people.
