- Authors
Watenberg, Daniel; Simon, Ronald
- Abstract
The article discusses the use of epidemiologic data and quantitative risk assessment in evaluating human health risk. It explains the basics of quantitative risk assessment and raises some causation on the use of epidemiologic data in quantitative risk assessment models in order to explore the difference and the possible implications of using epidemiologic data in quantitative risk assessment. The objectives of several stages of quantitative risk assessment are cited. The stages include hazard identification, exposure assessment, dose-response modeling and risk characterization.
