- Authors
Schoenbach, Victor J.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the assessment on the concept of health risk appraisal (HRA) which was created due to the application of life insurance actuarial principles to risk assessment and the quantitation of risk multipliers for patient characteristics which affects mortality rates in patients. It has been reported that the accuracy of the HRA estimates have been a concern of technique developers and the Society of Prospective Medicine as it gained prominence. Governmental agencies and HRA methodology has been conducted which questions the validity of the procedures and databases that are used in the HRA risk assessment.
