The article reports on the clinical phenomenon of the repression of trauma which is claimed by Karyn Freedman as very widespread. The repression of trauma by clinicians are affected by several reasons such as its unestablished occurrence and its lack of accepted mechanism. The acceptance of trauma's significant effects on subsequent thought and action which could convince clinicians on the repression of trauma is also mentioned.
