The article examine advances related to contemporary art and culture in Mongolia. Topics discussed include the Tsagaandarium Art Museum which houses a collection of more than 500 Mongolian artworks from the early 20th century to the present; the 5th Land Art Mongolia Biennial which showcased work of several artists including Dinh Q. Lê and Rirkrit Tiravanija; and the third Ulaanbaatar International Media Art Festival organized by the Arts Council of Mongolia.
