- Title
Post Sarbanes-Oxley: Does XBRL Hold the Key?
- Authors
Blake, Rob; Hannon, Neal
- Abstract
The article discusses the use of XBRL business language in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance. Colorado-based firm Rivet Software is profiled. The company built XBRL directly into the fabric of their business reporting. This approach allowed the accounting department to create data streams of marked-up XBRL into internal business reporting systems. The company says it allowed them to achieve unprecedented compliance with the internal control requirements of SOX.
