It mentions that blood cultures need to be drawn ideally before administering antibiotics, and two blood culture sets sensitivity is greater than 90%. It states that certain organisms such as gram-negative rods, Candida species and Staphylococcus aureus, are never contaminants and need to be treated always as pathogens.
