- Abstract
The article presents the highlights of the salvage excavation conducted by H. Ashkenazi at the Um el-Amad West site in the Jezreel Valley in Israel in August 2008. The excavation was carried out on behalf of the Sonia and Marco Nadler Institute of Archaeology of Tel Aviv University. Also cited are the role by A. Nagar of Israel Antiquities Authority in the activity, as well as the findings like pottery from the Byzantine and Early Islamic periods, and a burial cave.
