EDITORIAL: HISTORIANS AND STUDENTS.
- Authors
CONNELL, R. W.
- Abstract
The editor presents arguments concerning the methodology of teaching and studying history. Introductory remarks are given asserting the importance of history as a discipline and noting how the field has become less legitimate with the demise of its philosophical and ethical aspects in school curricula. The two primary methods of practicing history, through peer reviewed primary research and secondary reproduction and criticism of already published works, are mentioned as essential for students.
