- Abstract
The article presents an analysis of the history of the aeronautics in Spain. Particular focus is given to the School of Civil Aviation, as well as the evolution of the devices, such as the first hydrogen globes, blimps, steam propellants, and the ballonet. In addition, special mention is made to the military aeronautics, and their use during the different wars where Spain has been involved. Guadalajara, a town in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, is considered the cradle of the Spanish aeronautics, in which the firsts aircraft were developed.
