- Abstract
The article discusses how differing theories about ownership of property influence possession doctrines as of 2016, and it mentions the historical aspects of Roman and Jewish property possession laws, as well as a stewardship concept involving cultural properties. The religious aspects of property law are addressed, along with the common law and a Roman doctrine of ownership which deals with a right to control (dominium).
