- Title
Principal component analysis.
- Authors
Hess, Aaron S.; Hess, John R.
- Abstract
The article offers information regarding principal component analysis (PCA) which is an old statistical technique for identifying major relationships in complex data. It mentions that red oxyhemoglobin and purple deoxyhemoglobin have different light absorption spectra, and the concentration of each in a mixture can be estimated by measuring light absorbance at two wavelengths where their absorbance is different.
