- Authors
Izaina, Angelo
- Abstract
The article discusses the political triumphs and weaknesses of 25-year incumbent Yoweri Museveni of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Uganda. It mentions that he has won another term as president after defeating his associate-turned opponent Kizza Besigye of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) by 68% of the vote. It states that he has tapped state resources freely for his campaign which left the country without enough money to address economic problems which manifests his misgovernance. It affirms that since he came to power, he has helped establish an impressive economic record for the state.
