- Abstract
The article describes the use of printable hybrid ceramics as a new material class for single tooth crowns. Computer-assisted additive manufacturing technology enables resource-efficient and fast production of aesthetically appealing single tooth restorations. A case report illustrates the treatment process for the production of a 3D-printed single tooth crown made from a ceramic-filled hybrid material. The digital treatment method is explained, and the advantages of additive manufacturing in dentistry are emphasized. It is emphasized that additive manufacturing can be a cost-effective and aesthetically appealing alternative for dental restorations, but further research is needed to evaluate the long-term clinical performance of 3D-printed materials.
