- Abstract
The article aims to demonstrate the support provided by the Taki Ñan ensemble of the University of California in Santa Cruz to ethnomusicologist Mark Slobin's concepts about interculture. It starts by summarizing the establishment of the ensemble and its procedures for learning new repertoire. It also examines Taki Ñan's continuing involvement with Latin American music groups and the characteristic which qualifies it as an example of affinity interculture.
