- Abstract
The article discusses the legal issue of public disclosure of offshore drilling industry trade secrets. It says that government and public access to geological information on potential offshore drilling sites and mineral acquisition and exploitation method of these companies can endanger their competitive advantage and can result in billions of dollars in revenue losses. It says that law makers can create regulations that requires only the disclosure of necessary health and safety information.
