- Abstract
The article presents findings of a research conducted on examining naturally acquired immune responses to malaria vaccine candidate antigens MSP3 and GLURP in Guahibo and Piaroa indigenous communities of the Venezuelan Amazon. It discusses the methodology of the research. It concludes that the low incidence of plasmodium falciparum, submicroscopical infections may explain the comparatively high anti-P. falciparum antibody concentrations.
