Abstract
The article reports on a ruling from the Supreme Court of the Cherokee Nation concerning the validity of a petition calling the amending of the Cherokee Constitution to make Indian blood a requirement for Indian citizenship. The court ruled that the petition was flawed and that an election on the proposed amendment could take place in March of 2007.
