- Abstract
The article focuses on Norwegian literature within the Scandinavian context. It uses multicultural literature to indicate that migration leads to diversity in society. It will investigate how the process and result of cultural meetings demand new narratives. It will also use migrant literature when focusing specifically on the thematic aspects of representations of migration experiences. It then offers information on the books "Immigrant Narratives in Contemporary France," edited by Susan Ireland and Patrice J. Proulx and "Writing New Identities: Gender, Nation and Immigration in Contemporary Europe," edited by Gisela Brinker-Gabler and Sidonie Smith, which are works on European migration writings.
