- Abstract
The article discusses a study which established the flavone biosynthetic pathway in Aradiposis thaliana. The study subjected the A. thaliana to transformation with the parsley gene for flavone synthase type I (FNS-I). The plant extracts has been analyzed using high-performance liquid chromatography. It is showed that the FNS-I transgene produces a functional enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of naringenin to apigenin in A. thaliana.
