- Title
Snowed: How MLB and the MLBPA Mishandled the Cocaine Problem of the 1980s.
- Authors
Greenham, Craig
- Abstract
The article discusses the author's views about how Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) mishandled a cocaine abuse problem involving professional baseball players during the 1980s, and it mentions the drug policies that then-MLB commissioners Bowie Kuhn and Peter Ueberroth instituted during the 20th century. Invasion of privacy and mandatory urine analysis programs are assessed, along with self-diagnosed drug addiction.
