- Abstract
The article presents a study regarding the selection of personnel for the position of copyreader, feature writer, and columnists in the editorial department of a large newspaper publishing. It states that the three jobs are less affected by technological innovations, with copyreaders being given the most careful supervision, although it is not closely supervised. It mentions that job performance rating scale with several items related to creativity has been used as the criterion for evaluating their performances. Moreover, it discusses the problem of selecting advertising space salesmen from job applicants who applied at the newspaper office.
