Durable catalysts for cleaner air.
- Authors

- Abstract
Reports research determining that catalytic oxides can be used in the stabilization of methane at low temperatures, thereby reducing the amount of nitrogen oxide pollutants. Earlier studies that focused on the catalytic reaction of methane and oxygen; Construction of low-emission catalytic and hybrid combustion devices in gas turbines; Need for the catalysts to stand up well to high temperatures; Possible solution of non-noble metals such as perovskites and hexaaluminates.
