- Abstract
The article discusses the use of Bühlmann Laboratories AG's enzymatic assay for quantifying gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) in forensic matrices including urine, vitreous humour and blood. It explores the use of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) reference method in analyzing various cases such as sexual assaults and impaired drivers. It is noted that reduction in analysis time relative to chromatographic methods is achieved by simple sample preparation and high throughput.
