The article discusses some of the aspects of the mathematics of Elias M. Stein, who was an American mathematician and a leading figure in the field of harmonic analysis. He was also professor of Mathematics at Princeton University. It is stated that the development of modern harmonic analysis has been designed largely by Stein's vision and illuminated by his intuitions.
