- Abstract
The article reports on the lack of progress in cancer treatment in teen and young adult. A report by the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) by the National Cancer Institute reflects that young adults are not provided the best cancer treatment as evidenced by mortality rates. This prompted the development of strategies to promote cancer awareness among adolescents. The report also mentioned that delays in cancer diagnosis as one major factor in treatment outcomes.
