The article discusses on the position of the Hastings Center on medical policy advocacy in the U.S. It is explained that while the Center does not support any legislation to be considered an advocacy group, its support for diverse ideas makes it an advocacy of ethical dialogue. Health reform is the current focus of the Center's efforts in endorsing a dialogue around fundamental values. Highlights of the Center's 40th anniversary are provided.
