- Abstract
The article offers information on the collaboration of Massachusetts's Springfield Housing Authority (SHA) with several agencies that focuses on increasing literacy among children. Topics discussed include the Talk/Read/Succeed! (T/R/S!) program for children, visit of the Edward P. Boland Elementary School teachers to students home and summer learning program on plants, animals and environment for children. Also it discusses that overall literacy has increased after the advent of the program.
