- Authors
Pérez-Castilla, Alejandro; García-Pinillos, Felipe
- Abstract
The field of sports biomechanics has experienced significant growth due to advancements in technology. These advancements have allowed for precise motion measurement and practical evaluations of inertial forces in human movements. This Special Issue of Applied Sciences focuses on optimizing athletic performance and preventing injuries through the use of data analysis and processing techniques. The issue includes eleven original articles, a scope review, and a systematic review and meta-analysis. The articles cover a range of topics, including the relationship between mechanical parameters and change-of-direction performance in soccer players, the effects of different types of footwear on running performance, and the impact of golf club types on posture and swing power. Overall, this Special Issue provides valuable insights for researchers, athletes, and coaches in the field of sports biomechanics.
