- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 11-year-old Quarter horse mare that presented for repeated episodes of colic. A diagnosis of chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction was made. The horse's condition did not improve even though surgical resection of the colon and medical treatment were performed and it was euthanized. Hispathological test showed a myenteric ganglionitis of the small intestine and ascending colon.
