- Abstract
The article focuses on lymphangioma-like Kaposi's sarcoma. Three patients with an unusual histological variant of Kaposi's sarcoma are described. Lymphangiomatous changes, not typical of Kaposi's sarcoma, were found, leading to diagnostic difficulties. The spindle cell proliferation typical of Kaposi's sarcoma was absent from multiple biopsies from two of the patients. In all specimens, there was a distinctive pattern with numerous abnormal lymphatic channels and spaces permeating the dermis at various levels. In the third patient, small areas of spindle cell proliferation was observed which was typical of Kaposi's sarcoma.
