- Abstract
The article describes a court case concerning the criminal liability of vasectomy in individuals lacking capacity to consent. The defendant was convicted of fraud and bribery in healthcare. The obtained economic benefits amounted to a total of €59,539.18. The defendant was convicted of attempted grievous bodily harm as he had attempted to impair the fertility of the victim. However, the court determined that the crime was not completed as the defendant revealed the act and referred the patient for refertilization. Therefore, the verdict was changed to negligent bodily harm.
