- Abstract
The article reports on Septoria pachyspora as the cause of leaf blotching of Zanthoxylum schinifolium. Zanthoxylum schinifolium is cultivated for its seed oil in Korea. It is stated that in 2001, Z. schinifolium leaves with leaf-blotch symptoms were recorded in Goseong, Korea. It is said that preliminary microscopy showed that the pathogen was identified as a Septoria sp. It is inferred that pathogenicity was confirmed by wound-inoculating the leaves of three 2-year-old seedlings with a conidial suspension.
