8. CONTROL OF BULB SCALE MITE The Control of Bulb Scale Mite Under Glass.
- Authors

- Abstract
This article focuses on the control of bulb scale mite under glass. Drenching sprays of each chemical, with added wetter, were applied to boxes of forced narcissi within three days of bringing them into heat. Treatments were replicated three-to-five times, and counts of mites and eggs were summed and transformed logarithmically before analysis. Endrin alone gave consistently good results. Thioquinolinolate was variable but promising. The wettable powder formulation, however, rendered the foliage unsightly. Endosurfan was almost as effective as endrin in preventing foliage stunting from mite activity during the forcing period.
