- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 71-year-old man who exhibits factor V (FV) and FVIII deficiency (F5F8D), a rare autosomal recessive bleeding disorder, due to a donor splice site mutation in the MCFD2 gene. He had various medical histories including coronary artery disease, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia. The patient had fractured distal tibia after an accident and treated with daily FVIII infusions and bevacizumab. The patient then experienced episodic chest pain at rest.
