This essay presents a synthesis between the conflicting perspectives of Judeo-Christian historical identity expressed by scholars Daniel Boyarin and John Howard Yoder. The author presents an overview of the opposing opinions of the two and provides a theological reconstruction of Yoder to account for Boyarin's criticisms.
