- Abstract
The article discusses the philosopher Augustine's account of proper enjoyment along with the immediate concerns and the conditions to be met to achieve joy, love and enjoyment. Topics include joy as a systems-level feature based upon a person's desire as per his account; Severity Concern, Exclusivity Concern and Friendship Concerns for the same; and the three conditions to be met to achieve joy such as the desire for god, no further reason of the desire; and desire should be fully realised.
