- Abstract
Mark Brusseau, a renowned researcher in the field of groundwater contamination, will be delivering the keynote address at the Groundwater in the PFAS Era conference in Tucson, Arizona. His research focuses on understanding the factors and processes that affect the movement and fate of contaminants in the subsurface, as well as developing innovative remediation technologies. The conference aims to address the challenges posed by PFAS contamination and provide information on testing and treatment options. Additionally, the National Ground Water Association (NGWA) has updated its fact sheet on PFAS for groundwater professionals to distribute to concerned individuals. NGWA will also be hosting other events, including a conference on dealing with fractured rock environments and a webinar on safety inspections at drill sites. The article also mentions the passing of NGWA Past President Peter Thein, who was a respected figure in the industry.
