The article reports on how entrepreneur Taryn Sullivan's travel to China to source and develop products for American companies inspired him to start her Washington, D.C.-based cost management application developer Efficiency Exchange. It describes how the company helps lower costs for and reduce energy consumption in Chinese factories. It explores how Sullivan sourced products from factories in different countries from discovering the process of developing products from scratch to solving problems with product defects and prices.
