- Abstract
Strategic compensation planning allows an organization to focus on its strategic objective and develop a comprehensive plan. This article outlines the strategic planning process and discusses a technique for integrating compensation administration into the strategic planning process based on measurement of the strategic value of key jobs. This technique incorporates a concept known as the strategic centrality of jobs. Essential steps are covered in the strategic planning process and how the strategic centrality of jobs can be measured and integrated in a strategic planning model.
