- Abstract
In today's society companies need employees that are not afraid to be creative and innovative; employees that can develop knowledge for the company, help it grow and be in a continuous development. The paper aims to identify if the entrepreneurial spirit of employees can be increased through different incentives, be it managerial support or merely basic rewarding methods and also if the professional experience of the manager has an impact on these. The performed research is a quantitative study based on a questionnaire that has been distributed to managers from the North-West region of Romania. As main findings, we can highlight the fact that employees have more confidence in their capabilities and their creative and innovative spirit if they can create a trusting relationship with their managers and are being motivated by these. Creating trust between management and employees and knowing how to properly keep their employees motivated is not being influenced by the professional experience of the manager. The results could be very useful for managers because they should know that, that not monetary or nonmonetary rewards but an appropriate support from their part can make their employees be more creative and innovative at their working place.
