The article focuses on promoting dignity and preventing shame, and humiliation by improving the quality and education of attorneys in sexually violent predators cases in the U.S. Topics include the application of Supreme Court case Strickland v. Washington standard in Sexually Violent Predator Act cases; significance of shame and humiliation in the legal process and the need for the judicial process to enforce standards of dignity; and the bases of therapeutic jurisprudence.
