- Abstract
This article discusses the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, highlighting the unexpected resilience of the Ukrainian people. The role of women in Ukrainian civil society during this time is examined, with war fundamentally changing their position and potentially leading to increased political power in the future. The article also touches on other global conflicts, such as the situation in Northern Ireland and the potential impact of upcoming elections in the UK and Ireland. The decline in trust in politics and the rise of populism are explored, along with the importance of encouraging political participation, particularly among young people. The article concludes by mentioning upcoming elections and the commitment of Political Insight to providing expert analysis on important issues.
