- Abstract
The agricultural machinery and implements (AMI) sector plays an important role in the advancement of the Brazilian economy by developing implements that make agricultural production more efficient and modern. Thus, the efficient management of projects for new implements is a factor that contributes to the company's success. This work sought to identify the most applied tools and techniques to support project management (PM). To this end, a survey (e-survey) was carried out in 24 AMI industries in São Paulo. A questionnaire was applied to obtain information about the organization and level of use of PM practices by professionals. The results showed that, among a list of 52 PM practices, the first twenty most used tools and techniques are composed of known and well-known practices in the PM area. The basic practices of "Cost/benefit analysis" and "Spreadsheets/tables" were mentioned as the most used practices among the analyzed organizations, indicating that the area has not sought support from new methods for the development of its projects, showing that the AMI sector still has low maturity in project management.
