The article focuses on management of food allergy outside tertiary centers. Topics discussed include tertiary referral units for allergy are limited and geographically displaced, referrals which are deemed too complex for secondary services are diverted accordingly, private access to pediatrics allergy services remains limited to a few of the major population centres and vital educational work continues through the Special Interest Group of the Pediatric Society.
